City corporation polls are underway in Sylhet and Rajshahi as voting began on Wednesday morning.
Voting began at 8 am and will continue till 4 pm Wednesday.
Long queues of voters were seen at various polling stations at the start of polling at 8 am in Sylhet.
According to the returning officer's office sources, this is the first time that all centers of Sylhet City Corporation will vote by Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) system.
On the other hand, EVMs are being used for the first time in Rajshahi. So everyone is exercising voting rights through EVM. There was no report of any disturbance anywhere.
