Mild heat wave is sweeping over Khulna division and the district of Rajshahi and it may continue, said the weather department on Tuesday.
According to the latest weather bulletin of the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD), light to moderate rain/thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Rangpur, Mymensingh & Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal & Chattogram divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over the country.
The day and the night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
The country's maximum temperature on Monday was recorded at 37.6 degrees Celsius in Jashore and the minimum temperature was 23.5 degrees Celsius in Kutubdia of Cox’s Bazar and Dinajpur.
The met office said the highest rainfall in the last 24 hours (Till 6 am Tuesday) was recorded at 48mm in Patuakhali.
