The newly-elected Bangladesh Awami League (AL) Central Working Committee will pay tribute to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on Sunday, reports BSS.
The committee, led by party President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, will pay glowing tribute to the great leader of independence of Bangladesh by placing wreaths at Bangabandhu's portrait in front of Bangabandhu Memorial Museum at Dhanmondi-32 in the city at 10am, said a press release from AL.
AL General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader urged all the newly elected committee members to remain present maintaining the proper health guidelines, it added.
AL dubbed as one of the largest political parties in the subcontinent got the new committee on Saturday following its 22nd national council held at the historic Suhrawardy Udyan in the city.
After the council, Sheikh Hasina has been reelected as AL President for the 10th consecutive time while Obaidul Quader was reelected as General Secretary for the third consecutive term.
