The ruling Awami League has invited three BNP top leaders to attend its national council scheduled for tomorrow (Saturday) in the historic Suhrawardy Udyan.
Three BNP leaders are standing committee members Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain, Abdul Moyeen Khan and Nazrul Islam Khan.
An Awami League delegation led by deputy office secretary Abu Sayem handed over the invitation letters to BNP acting office secretary Syed Emran Saleh Prince at BNP’s Naya Paltan central office on Friday morning.
Syed Imran Saleh told Abu Sayem how they can attend the council while all senior leaders in the prison. In response, Abu Sayem said this is a matter of the government. They came here on behalf of the party.
The matter will be discussed with the high command of the party, Prince added.
