Food Minister Sadhan Chandra Majumdar on Friday said women of the country are safe and dignified in the tenure of the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, reports BSS.
"Sheikh Hasina has placed women in the seat of dignity as well as Awami League (AL) introduced women empowerment through participation of women in politics, and by this, Prime Minister placed them in the seat of dignity,” the minister added.
He said these while speaking as the chief guest at the tri-annual convention of Tilna Union Mahila Awami League at the Tilna Balika High School ground this morning.
"Bangladesh is now in safe hands of Sheikh Hasina and she has developed every part of the country", he said adding, "She expanded social security for women old age allowance, widow allowance, maternity allowance and stipend."
President of Tilna Mahila Awami League, Rozina Begum, spoke as special guest.
