Fire at Eastern Refinery doused

The fire that erupted on the premises of the Eastern Refinery at Patenga in Chattogram was brought under control.

Several fire-fighting units from the port city's Bandar, Patenga, EPZ and Agrabad stations extinguished the flames around 12:45 pm.

A pipeline at the refinery caught fire around 11:25 am on Saturday.

Abdul Hamid, deputy assistant director of the Fire Service and Civil Defence in Chattogram said that no major damage was reported in the fire.
