Tourist goes missing in Cox’s Bazar

A teenage tourist went missing at Sugandha Point of Cox’s Bazar beach while bathing in the Bay of Bengal on Friday morning.

The deceased is Tahsin, 16 of Cumilla.

Beach workers also rescued two friends of Tahsin from the Bay.

Confirming the matter, beach worker Mahbubul Alam said four friends came to Cox’s Bazar from Cumilla in the morning. They went to the beach directly. At one stage of bathing around 7 am, Tahsin drowned in the seawater while beach workers rescued two others.

The injured were given primary treatment at a local hospital, he added.
