Jatiya Party Chairman GM Quader on Tuesday feared that the country was heading towards bankruptcy as the government has no money to purchase oil to produce electricity.
He said, “Country’s people are facing unbearable load-shedding for 4 to 10 hours daily. There’re preparations to produce 20,000 MW of electricity, but the government is not capable of buying fuel for lack of money.”
GM Quader made the remarks at a programme at the Jatiya Party Chairman’s Banani office in the capital.
He said the country’s people are not showing their interest in elections. Politicians also know that there is no need to keep relations with the people but with the ruling party. That is why politics and political parties keep themselves from the people.
