Lightning strike kills 5 in Rangpur

A lightning strike killed five workers at a brick kiln at Kabilpur union of Pirganj Upazila in Rangpur on Tuesday afternoon.

The incident occurred while they were working at the brick kiln around 3:30 pm.

Kabilpur Union Parishad chairman Robiul Islam confirmed the matter.

The identity of the deceased could not be known immediately. However, they are the residents of Sadullapur Upazila, he added.
