Internals clashes in ruling party Awami League at root-level politics were increased for some time that even leads to killing incidences.
Recently, two people has been killed in Natore in the conflict occurred due to competition among two groups of AL in showing supremacy in their own area.
As a result of friction between two groups, a school student got killed in Rangpur.
Besides, fighting, rough rouse and conflicts took place in Lalamanirhat, Laxmipur and Kishoreganj district. Activists along with police members got injured in the incidents.

Natore: In an attempt to establish the dominance of own groups, AL leader Aftab Ali and Ruhul Amin got killed on 10pm on Sunday at Bamihal village in Sukash union under Singra upazila in the district.
Besides, at least five men from two conflicting side were injured. One of the injured was union Jubo League general secretary Abul Kalam who was admitted in Rajshahi Medical College. To tackle the tensed-situation, police force has been deployed in the area.
Officer-in-charge (OC) of Singra Thana Mizanur Rahman said in, Aftab Ali, general secretary of ward 1 and former Union Parishad Member engaged in a clash of holding supremacy in the locality for long time with running UP member Faridul Islam. As a consequence of the clash, the supporters of Aftab Ali attacked the house of supporters of Kuddus in Bamihal village and three of the supporters of Kuddus got injured. Later on, the supporters of Kuddus, led by himself, attacked on the supporters of Aftab Ali with sharp weapons, where three men including Aftab Ali got wounded.
When local people took the wounded to upazila health complex, the doctor declared Aftab Ali dead. On the other hand, Ruhul Amin, one of the supporters of Kuddus, died at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital. These killing incidences created tensed-situation in their localities.
Upazila health and family welfare officer Dr Aminul Islam said Aftab died due to excessive bleeding on the way to hospital.
Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), Singra circle Jamil AKter told that extra police force has been deployed in Bamihal area and drive is ongoing to arrest the men involved in attack.
Rangpur: In the clash of two groups over committee formation of Pirganj School, a school-boy named Ramjan Ali died in the hit of a spear. In addition, 15 got injured including Pirganj Thana OC. This incidence took place on Monday noon in Khetaber Para village under Madankhali union in the upazila.
The deceased boy was son of farmer Anwarul Islam of Anantarampur village in Chaitrakol union and the student of Khetabpara PMA High School.
The police said a long standing clash was going on between Khetaber Para PMA High School headmaster Nurunnabi Talukder and Assistant teacher Anwarul Islam over formation of school committee. Recently, in the school committee election, panel supported by Anwarul Islam lost, but three guardian members have been selected from panel supported by Nurunnabi Talukder.
When the school opened after 10-days’ vacation of Dugra Puja, hundreds of men led by Anwarul Islam blocked Nurunnabi and school committee president Shahidul Islam Babu to enter the school. On the spot, student Ramjan Ali died after hit by a local-made spear. Some people confined OC Abdul Awal inside of a school-room. From the attack of the villagers, SI Ashraful, Nazrul, Riajul, Akter and women police-member Jyoti got injured along with head master Nurunnabi Talukder.
Police force has been deployed later on in the tensed area where conflict took place.
OC Abdul Awal said a few men have been arrested and the filing of case is under way.
Lakshmipur: As a result of conflict between supporters of two general secretary candidates in triennial councils of AL in Ramgati upazila, at least 10 got injured.
The incidence took place on Monday noon in the presence of central leaders like Mahbul-ul Alam Hanif, Abu Sayeed Al Mahmud Swapan and Faridunnahar Laily and local senior leaders.
According to the witnesses, a quarrel was formed over seating in the front row of the council’s venue among supporters of general secretary candidates Tawhidul Islam Sumon and Shahed Ali Monu. At one point, 10 people got injured due to the chaos and conflict.
Lalmanirhat: Hand to hand fight over clash of committee formation between two AL groups and subsequent Lathi-charge were happened in Lalmanirhat.
From sources it has been known that Zilla and central leaders of Lalmanirhat deicded to announce the committee at district circuit house instead of doing it at the triennial council. There the supporters of the candidates began to raise their demand and shouting slogans. At one point, two groups involved in hand to hand fight and began to destroy windows and doors of the circuit house. To tackle the situation, police began to take action by charging batons.
District Awami League general secretary Matiar Rahman confirmed the fight-incidence and said it’s not a big issue as its common but irrelevant event in big party like us.
According to sources, the conflict formed after the decision-makers of district AL tried to announce committee by selecting Rafiqul Islam as general secretary, who was formerly BNP president of Aditmari upazila.
Kishoreganj: Conflict was created over newly formed committee of Chhatra League in Hossainpur of the district. The conflict took place in Sadar Bazar on Monday noon.
The leaders and activists along with leaders of newly formed committee started a protest rally on ‘BNP-Jamat’s terrorism and chaos’ at Hospital Mor of the city. A tensed situation aroused when the post-deprived leaders and their supporters reached there. At one stage, brick-throwing and chase-counter-chase occurred between two frictions.
