Police arrested 46 people from various spots of the capital on charges of drug dealing and peddling in separate drives during the last 24 hours.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) confirmed the matter to Bangladesh Pratidin on Tuesday (September 6).                 

Police arrested them from 6:00 am Monday to Tuesday morning with drugs as part of their regular drive.   

A total of 3398 pieces of Yaba, 52 grams of heroin, 16 bottles of phensidyle and 3.5 kg of hemp were seized from their possessions.

Twenty-eight cases were filed with respective police stations in this regard under the narcotic control act, police said.
