Three people were killed as a passenger bus collided with a trolley on Barishal-Patuakhali highway in Bakerganj upazila of Barishal on Monday, police said.
The deceased were identified as trolley driver Md Rakib, his helper Md Jahirul and Md Baijeed.
Bakerganj Police Station Officer-in-Charge Md Alauddin said the accident occurred as a recklessly driven bus collided head-on with a trolley, leaving Rakib dead on the spot and wounded two others.
Critically injured Jahirul and Baijeed were rushed to Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital and Shebachim Hospital where on-duty doctors declared them dead on arrival, said the police official.
