Three divisions along with some other parts of the country might experience showers in the next 24 hours, said the weather department on Monday.
According to the latest weather bulletin of the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD), light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Mymensingh, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and at one or two places over Rajshahi, Rangpur, Dhaka, Khulna and Barishal divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over the country.
The axis of monsoon troughs runs through Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, the centre of the land depression, Bihar, Gangetic West Bengal to Assam across the central part of Bangladesh. One of its associated troughs extends up to Northeast Bay.
Monsoon is less active over Bangladesh and weak to moderate elsewhere over North Bay said the bulletin.
The day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
The country's maximum temperature on Sunday was recorded at 35.8 degrees Celsius in Rajshahi and the minimum temperature was 24.6 degrees Celsius in Sreemalgal of Moulvibazar.
The met office said the highest rainfall in the last 24 hours (Till 6 am Monday) was recorded at 16mm in Nikli of Kishoreganj.
