A 21-year-old former student carried out a stabbing attack at a vocational college in China’s eastern city of Wuxi on Saturday evening. The attack left eight people dead and 17 others hurt, police reported.
The knife attack took place at the Wuxi Vocational College of Arts and Technology, in eastern Jiangsu province. The 21-year-old suspect, surnamed Xu, was apprehended at the scene and confessed to the attack, police added, reports the guardian.
Local police said Xu had failed his examinations and could not graduate, and that he was dissatisfied with his pay at an internship.
According to preliminary investigations, he decided to vent his frustrations by attacking others, police said in a statement.
