Houthi on Thursday claimed of hitting a target in Israel with a hypersonic ballistic missile and promised of escalating attack in response to Israeli attack, reports Al Jazeera.
Yahya Saree, Houthi Military Spokesperson, said in a recently released video, “The operation was carried with a hypersonic ballistic missile that managed to reach the target and the enemies’ defence system failed to intercept and confront”.
The long-range missile travelled 2040 km in 11 minutes, the military spokesperson added.
This was a response to Israeli attack on Hodeidah, and to condemn Israeli oppression in Palestine, Saree said. He also threatened of more attacks on Israel.
As soon as the siren sounds, passengers of Ben Gurion airport of Israel started panicking.
Israeli prime minister, who delays son’s marriage ceremony out of fear, promised a “heavy price” for the attack.
Benjamin Netanyahu said, “This morning the Houthi launched a surface-to-surface missile attack from Yemen to our territory.”
“They should have known by now that we charge a heavy price for any attempt to harm us (Israeli),” he said, adding those who want to see this should visit port at Hodeidah.
