The head of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) said that over 14 million people had fled their homes in Sudan, reports Reuters.
IOM director general Amy Pope said on Tuesday that these people are displaces either inside the country or over its borders.
Some 200,000 people fleeing since last month as the situation is getting worst day after day, she added.
“The 11 million is (people) internally displaced within the country, the 3.1 million are those who have crossed borders. So that's actually over 14 million people who are on the move right now,” she furthered while talking to reporters.
She later added that the total figure included some people who were displaced before the civil war began in April 2023.
