Lebanon’s Hezbollah movement said it struck the Galilee Division Reserve Base and its logistics depots at Ami’ad kibbutz in the northern sector of the Israeli-occupied territories with dozens of Katyusha rockets.
Hebrew-language sources also reported a large-scale Hezbollah drone attack from southern Lebanon on the Galilee region, during which the Nahal Gershom base was targeted, Press TV reports.
Hezbollah said on Saturday the operation was in retaliation for Israeli attacks on civilians and residential buildings in Lebanon and in solidarity with Palestinian people.
The movement also stated it conducted a missile attack against an Israeli Merkava battle tank as it was moving along the Ruwaisat al-Alam-Zebdine road. The strike destroyed the tank and set it aflame.
Earlier on Friday, Hezbollah targeted the Israeli al-Marj and Bayyad Blida outposts in the northern part of the occupied territories and the Zebdine barracks in the occupied Shebaa Farms.
Hezbollah and Israel have been exchanging deadly fire since early October last year, shortly after Israel launched a genocidal war against the Gaza Strip following a surprise operation by Hamas movement.
