Hezbollah has launched barrages of Katyusha rockets at an Israeli military command center in the northern part of the 1948-occupied territories in response to the brutal aggression on Gaza, and in retaliation for assaults on southern Lebanese regions.
The movement said in a brief statement that its members targeted the Golani Brigade headquarters at the Mount Neria base with salvos of rockets on Saturday morning, resulting in a direct hit.
The statement noted that the operation came in support of steadfast Palestinians in Gaza and resistance factions fighting off Israeli offensives, and in retaliation for Israeli attacks on the southern Lebanese towns and villages, especially the recent assault on Froun village in the Bint Jbeil district, Press TV reports.
For its part, the Israeli military said at least 30 rockets were fired from southern Lebanon at areas on the northern side of the 1948 occupied territories.
Meanwhile, sirens sounded in a number of communities close to the border with southern Lebanon, warning of a suspected drone attack.
