Gold prices in Bangladesh have reached a new record, with 22-carat gold rising by Tk1,470 to Tk1,51,282 per bhori (11.664 grams), the highest ever in the country, reports the Daily Sun.
The Standing Committee on Pricing and Price Monitoring of the Bangladesh Jeweller’s Association (BAJUS) made the decision at a meeting on Monday, citing the price hike of pure gold in the local market.
