A Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight has made an emergency landing at Nagpur airport in the western Indian state of Maharashtra.
The flight was heading to Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE), from Dhaka.
The flight, which had more than 400 passengers on board, made the emergency landing due to a technical fault, the airport authorities confirmed on Thursday.
Nagpur airport senior official Abid Ruhi said that the plane with 396 passengers and 12 crew members on board met a technical problem mid-air on its way from Dhaka to Dubai. Consequently, it changed route and made an emergency landing in Nagpur safely on early Thursday morning.
A senior Nagpur airport official told news agency PTI that all passengers and crew members on board the plane are safe, adding that all the passengers on the flight were safely disembarked after landing.
The airport authorities further mentioned that Dubai-bound passengers will be carried to their designated destinations on another flight of the airline.
