BNP central leader and former minister Advocate M Ruhul Quddus Talukder Dulu said, “The fascist Awami League has deprived the people of the country of their votes. It has destroyed all the electoral systems of the country for 15 long years."
He said this while speaking as the chief guest at a view-exchange meeting with the newly elected leaders of the Natore Sugar Mill Workers' Union at the temporary office of the district BNP in Alaipur on Wednesday, at around 11 am.
M Ruhul Quddus Talukder Dulu said, “Starting from the parliamentary elections, no elections have been held really in the country during the Awami League's rule. Everything was rigged. They have destroyed the country's electoral system. People have been deprived of their right to vote. Starting from the workers' elections, they have ruined all the elections in the country. For 15 long years, BNP has been fighting for the people's right to vote and livelihood. We have been deprived of votes. The nation has had to wait for parliamentary elections for many years. Therefore, the struggle will continue until the full right to democracy is established.”
Dulu also said, “There are many conspiracies and plots going on regarding the next parliamentary elections. I would like to tell all the elected leaders, no matter what day the elections are held, you have to start working now to make the BNP's paddy sheaf symbol win. The Natore Sugar Mill Workers' Election has inspired us. We believe that your victory will inspire and encourage BNP in the next parliamentary elections. This victory will facilitate victory in the next parliamentary.
The Natore Sugar Mill Workers' Union elections held last week, where BNP-supported candidates won the remaining 24 posts, except for the president's post, by a huge margin.
