Former additional secretary Md Alamgir has assumed office of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI), the apex trade organisation of the country, as Secretary General.
He joined the FBCCI on Sunday (August 20), reports Daily Sun.
Prior to this position, Md. Alamgir served as the Chairman of the Bangladesh Land Port Authority. Also, he worked as the Managing Director at the Hotel Pan Pacific Sonargaon in Dhaka.
Md. Alamgir has 33 years work experience in government service.
He started his career as an Assistant Commissioner in the Patuakhali DC office in 1990 and he had the privilege to work in the Khagrachari Hill District for the welfare and development of diverse ethnic minorities.
