DMP Commissioner Sheikh Md. Sajjat Ali said all preparations have been made to celebrate the holy Eid-ul-Fitr in a festive and safe environment.
On Monday morning, a coordination meeting was held at the conference room of the DMP Headquarters to review the overall law and order situation in Dhaka Metropolitan City, keep the travel of passengers safe and smooth, conduct Eid congregations smoothly and manage traffic on the occasion of the upcoming holy Eid-ul-Fitr.
He shared this information in his speech as the chairman of the meeting.
The DMP Commissioner said, “Dhaka Metropolitan Police has made all preparations to celebrate the holy Eid-ul-Fitr in a festive and safe environment. Along with the steps taken by the police, a sense of security awareness must be created at the individual or institutional level.”
He said, “The main goal of any law is to create an impact so that people understand that violating the law will lead to punishment. If someone drives a car in the opposite direction on the road or rides a motorcycle on the sidewalk, legal action will have to be taken against them.”
Sajjat Ali said, "The law and order situation in the capital has improved a lot due to the strong actions of DMP. Incidents like robbery and extortion have reduced to a great extent due to police activities. We have to move forward with everyone's cooperation."
