A container train derailed while entering Kamalapur, causing a temporary suspension of train services on both the up and down lines. Authorities have since taken steps to restore operations on the up line.
The incident occurred at 11:35 am on today (March 19).
Kamalapur Railway Station's station master Mohammad Anwar Hossain informed the media, "While a container train was entering the station at around 11:35 am, two carriages from the rear derailed on the down line. Subsequently, all train movements at the station were halted."
