Advance tickets for intercity trains on March 29 are being sold today for Eid ul-Fitr, starting at 8 AM.
To facilitate passengers, Bangladesh Railway has decided to issue tickets for trains in the western region starting at 8 am and tickets for trains in the eastern region will be available from 2 pm.
Earlier, on Sunday, a notice signed by the Public Relations Officer of the Ministry of Railways, Rezaul Karim Siddiqui announced the details of the advance ticket sale.
As usual, advance tickets for intercity trains will be sold for seven days through a special system. To make it convenient for passengers, 100% of the tickets will be sold online. As part of the special arrangement, tickets cannot be refunded.
According to Bangladesh Railway's decision, tickets for March 30 will be sold tomorrow, March 20.
Additionally, tickets for March 31, April 1, and April 2 may be sold depending on the sighting of the moon.
In response to passenger requests, 25% of standing tickets for non-AC coaches will be available before departure from the initial station.
Each passenger can buy advance tickets for Eid travel only once, and they can purchase a maximum of four seats.
Regarding ticket sales, Shahadat Hossain, the Dhaka Railway Station Manager mentioned that advance tickets for 43 intercity trains traveling from Dhaka to the western and eastern regions will be sold through a special system. Of these, ticket sales for 20 intercity trains in the western region will begin at 8 am, while tickets for 23 intercity trains in the eastern region will be sold starting at 2 pm.
