Train connection of Dhaka with other parts of the country remained suspended for three hours on Wednesday following the derailment of two wagons of a freight train near Kamalapur rail station in the capital, reports UNB.
Mohammad Anwar Hossain, station master of Kamalapur Railway Station, said two wagons of the container train from Chattogram veered off the tracks around 11:35 am while entering the Kamalapur station, forcing the authorities to halt train movement.
Around 1:10 am, the authorities started resuming the operation of train on single track from the station.
However, the rail movement returned to normal around 2:30 pm after the removal of the two wagons from the rail tracks, he said.
