A women's rally is going on in the capital's Shahbagh demanding trial for the dictator Sheikh Hasina and her political party Awami League for committing genocide during the July Movement.
This women's rally began in front of the National Museum in Shahbagh at 4 pm on Sunday, under the banner 'Women of July'.
Earlier, from 2 pm onwards, female students from various universities, along with members of the families of the martyrs, began to arrive in Shahbagh.
The organizers said that female students played a pioneering role in the July Movement. They broke the lock of the female students’ halls and took to the streets. When the male students were being taken away, the female students stood in front of the prison van.
