Chief of Detective Branch (DB) of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Rezaul Karim Mallick has said that security arrangements have been strengthened in the capital ahead of Eid.
He said this at a press conference held at the DMP Media Center on Saturday morning.
The DB chief said that police activities will be carried out in the Dhaka metropolitan area on the occasion of the holy Eid-ul-Fitr. Patrol teams are working in 50 police stations in Dhaka. In addition, check posts have been set up in various important areas.
He said that DB surveillance has been increased much more than before so that no one can sabotage shopping malls, bus-launch terminals and train stations on the occasion of the holy Eid-ul-Fitr. Even so, if anyone is a victim or sees anything like this, they should call 999.
