Even though voter turnout is low, the Dhaka-17 by-election is being held peacefully, said Mohammad Abed Ali, chairman of Election Monitoring Forum (EMF) on Monday, reports UNB.
“Banani Bidyaniketan School experienced a lower than expected turnout during the polls. However, despite the low turnout, voting was held peacefully,” he said while talking to reporters during a visit to the center in the afternoon.
He also said, “We have spoken to the agents of various candidates, and have not received any complaints from them. They informed us that no candidate's agents faced any intimidation or obstacles.”
