Newly appointed Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) AMM Nasir Uddin and four other election commissioners will take oath on 24 November.
Chief Justice Syed Refaat Ahmed will administer the oath at 1:30pm, Supreme Court spokesperson Md Shafiqul Islam said on Friday.
President Mohammed Shahabuddin formed the five-member new Election Commission, headed by former secretary Nasir Uddin, on Thursday, exercising power bestowed upon him under section 118 (1) of the Constitution.
The four election commissioners are retired additional secretary Md Anwarul Islam Sarker, former district and sessions judge Abdur Rahmanel Masud, retired joint secretary Tahmida Ahmad and former army official Brig Gen (retd) Abul Fazal Md Sanaullah.
The President picked them from a list of names proposed by the search committee formed earlier.
