A school student was killed in a road accident at Tejgaon BG Press area in the capital on Sunday morning.
The accident took place around 7:45 am as he was struck by a speedy vehicle.
The deceased was identified as Ali Hossain, son of Ajmir Hossain from Krishnapur village at Muladi upazil in Barishal. He used to live with his family at Kuniapara in Tejgaon of the city.
He was a grade ten student of Tejgaon Govt. Science College Attached High School.
Sudarshan Rajbangshi, Sub-Inspector at Tejgaon Industrial Area Police Station said, they heard a noise at 7:45 am and after going to the spot, they found the school student drenched in blood.
The sent him to Samarita Hospital but couldn’t identify the vehicle that hit the student.
Confirming his death, Dhaka Medical College Hospital Police Camp in-charge Inspector Bachchu Mia said, the body of the deceased has been kept in the morgue of emergency department in the hospital.
