For the first time in creating content in the country, the annual event of the video-based social media platform 'Year on TikTok 2023' was held.
This award programme was held recently at a city hotel, said a media release.
This event was held with the best video makers on TikTok. Prizes were distributed and honoured. In this award show, as the Best Long From Content Creator (Best Long From Content Creator), Obidur Rahman, popularly known as ‘RobinRafan’ was given an award.
Ayman Sadiq, founder of Ten Minute School, Munzereen Shahid, food blogger, Rafsan and many well-known video makers of the country were present in this event.
Pooja Dutta, TikTok's South Asia content operator, said at the event, "We highlight the best creators of the country in this event. Especially those who are publishing TikTok videos from different parts of the country and presenting very complex topics to people easily and entertainingly."
This year, the 'Year on TikTok' awards were given to video creators in different categories. In the event, a total of 10 people were given this honour in different categories under the hashtag #TikTokCreatorAwards. Best Long From Content Creator TikTok Officials selected as the only nominated creator RobinRafan.
Although there are 40 nominations of 5 people in total 8 categories, only one person is nominated as Best Long From Content Creator.
In his reaction, RobinRafan said he was very excited to receive an award in such a category.
“This is the first time in Bangladesh that the best creators have been awarded by TikTok officials which is very happy as a creator. This kind of award will give a great incentive to work towards bringing better and better content. Besides, for those who want to be a new creator, this kind of award will give more encouragement to create good content. I normally started with creating tech-related content and moved on to Multi Niche including Travel Vlog, Food Vlog and Social Awareness. I will try my best to bring better and better educational content for all of our society inshallah.”
Along with digital content creation, RobinRafan is also working on music. He has gained international recognition through his outstanding skills, innovative content-creation approach and acting. His educational content has gained immense popularity among the audience.
The content creator is active all the time on Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram and Twitter.
RobinRafan's channel name ‘RobinRafan’ came after his son's name Rafan along with his nickname Robin. He hailed from Kishoreganj district. His incredible talent and hard work quickly gained worldwide recognition within a short span of time. RobinRafan's main occupation is Freelancing. He has extensive knowledge in video editing, graphics design, animation, and website development. From this experience, the recent Robin Rafan started a new journey for people worldwide, reads the release.
He has started teaching video editing, graphics design, animation and website development for free on his YouTube channel 'RobinRafan Academy'. In a short time, this YouTube channel has more than 65 thousand subscribers. In addition, they told us that they will make new content for free in the future to give more directions to content creators.

Apart from this, Munzereen Shahid won the award in the education or educational video category and Neon On in the sports category. The Fashion Creator of the Year award was won by 'Style Hut' Awarded 'Foodkhor' in Food Creation, 'The Mahim Makes' in 'Amar Bangladesh' category for exceptional video, and 'RobinRafan' in the Long Form Content Creator category. Beauty Creation of the Year Award was won by 'Life is Mayo' and Tanha Rahman won the award in the Best Use of Location Tagging category.
