South African cricket team scored 308 runs in 88.4 overs which put them in the command of the first test of two-match test series against Bangladesh.
After Bangladesh, South Africa too was struggling on the first day as it lost 6 of its wickets for 140 runs before calling it a day. The scenario changed as Mulder made a fifty and Verreynne secured his second hundreds, helping South Africa score 308.
Except the Verreynne- Mulder duo, no batter –from both team - reached the fifty marks in the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on the first innings.
Taijul Islam who had taken five wickets the previous day failed to put impact today.
However, Hasan Mahmud took another two wickets making a three wicket-figure beside his name.
Previously, Bangladesh lost its wickets for 106 runs which helped South Africa lead Bangladesh by 202 runs.
