Referring to 'The Prothom Alo' as ‘Imposter Light’ and ‘The Daily Star’ as ‘Delhi Star,’ Jatiya Ganatantrik Party’s (JAGPA) affiliated organization JAGPA Chhatra League president Abdur Rahman Faruki said, “Prothom Alo and Daily Star, which are run under the guidance of India, are anti-Islam and anti-Muslim entities. Through yellow journalism, they want to show the country's scholars and ulama community as the militants. They constantly mock Islam through cartoons and reports. With the aim of rehabilitating the Awami League, they have deliberately published false reports against pro-democracy political parties including BNP, Jamaat, Shibir even after August 5. Like slow poison, they have been working to spread Islamophobia and Indian culture among the people of Bangladesh for a long time. Prothom Alo and Daily Star represent Hindustan.”
