Former Chhatra League general secretary Siddique Nazmul Alam has expressed his anger at his party's former state minister for Power Nasrul Hamid Bipu and posted a status on social media Facebook.
In a Facebook post on Thursday night, the former Chhatra League general secretary called Bipu the ‘greatest electricity thief of all time.’
In the post, Siddique Nazmul mentioned, “Those culprits who finished the party by looting…They turned politics into a joke in the style of Telesamad (late Bangla movie comedian) with exaggerated and fabricated statements. Whenever we wrote against them, a group gets angry and said, ‘Now is the time for unity and these things cannot be written. When they come to power again, these things can be discussed.’ In short, they said they will write on their behalf and make everything righteous for them. We will sacrifice our family life and they will again occupy our leader's surroundings with fine get-up.”
He wrote, “I have been holding my breath and silent for a long time, but it does not occur to me that our leader has made unprecedented progress in the electricity sector with the aim of reaching electricity to every home. But there was no load shedding this Ramadan compared to the time of our government. That means that - power thief Bipu and some power thief bureaucrats used to create artificial load shedding by hiding it from the then Prime Minister and giving their favorite power plant businessmen the opportunity to do a grand monopoly business. They used to earn commissions by building syndicates.”
“Power thief Bipu was the son of a political leader from a big business family. Our leader thought well, if the son of a reputed person is given responsibility, he will not commit corruption. But no…Bipu has broken the leader's trust and become the greatest power thief of all time.”
He also wrote, “Bipu is a thief, thief, thief. His wife is a thief, his brother is a thief, his children are thieves. Looking at their behavior in the last 10 years, it seems like Bipu was the king and we were the subjects.”
