Bashundhara Kings players, coaching staff and their family members enjoyed having euphoric moments at Toggi Fun World in Bashundhara City Shopping Mall of the capital on Wednesday.
They went there two-day before their last and high-voltage Bangladesh Premier League match against Dhaka Abahani, reports The Daily Sun.
Kings will play their last match of the ongoing BPL 2022-23 first phase on Friday at the Shaheed Dhirendranath Datta Stadium in Cumilla at 03:15pm.
Kings are currently dominating the 11-team table of the ongoing league with 27 points from nine consecutive wins, 9 points ahead of the second-placed and last-year’s runners-up Dhaka Abahani. The Dhanmondi-based outfit Abahani bagged 18 points from five wins and three draws.
“We have been passing through a tight-packed schedule since the (ongoing) season started, so the players and coaching staff came here to relieve their pressure before the match against Abahani, which is also our last match of BPL first leg,” the club’s technical director Bayazid Alam Zubair Nipu told The Daily Sun.
Kings started the season securing Independence Cup. The country’s top outfit have been through a tight-packed calendar this year as they have major campaigns on both stages domestic and international— BPL, Federation Cup, AFC Cup and Asian Champions League play-offs.
“They have been playing different virtual games here, spending quality time with their family. They are enjoying the break. The management (club) also gave a break on this day because today (Wednesday) is the birthday of our Chairman Sir (Bashundhara Group Chairman Ahmed Akbar Sobhan),” he added.
Kings players, coaching staff and their family members explored the entire Toggi Fun World which is situated from level 8 to 18 at Bashundhara City Shopping Mall and played different virtual games including car racing, bike racing, penalty shooting and others. They also indulged in an array of exhilarating activities including hologate, escape room, laser tag, paintball, and other attractions. The entire Toggi Fun World staff welcomed them wearing Kings’ fan jerseys at different levels.
“We are happy to have Bashundhara Kings as our guests. The day is for them. They are enjoying our different games and our staff are ready everywhere to assist them,” Toggi Fun World In-charge Masudur Rahman Manna said.
