Process of consensus government begins
Symbolic

The interim government has initiated efforts to establish a consensus government, aimed at ensuring a neutral and fair election. The new administration will be formed by a coalition of various political parties and independent figures deemed acceptable to all stakeholders.

For this, a journalist with the rank of senior secretary has been appointed as the special assistant to the chief advisor. He will work as a liaison in the formation of the consensus government.

The head of the consensus government will also be Dr. Muhammad Yunus. This information was learned from sources in the office of the chief advisor, the Cabinet Division and the Ministry of Public Administration.

Sources said that an initiative has been taken to form a consensus government to make the next election acceptable, neutral and fair to everyone. Reshuffles in some advisory posts are coming soon. Various discussions are going on internally regarding this.

Journalist Monir Haider was appointed in the first phase for the purpose of the liaison activities for forming the consensus government. He will take forward the liaison activities on behalf of the chief advisor. Journalist Monir Haider was appointed as the special assistant to the chief advisor of the interim government in a notification by the Ministry of Public Administration.

A two-day national dialogue was held at the Krishibid Institution (KIB) in Khamarbari, Dhaka, on December 27 and 28 for the purpose of national unity. The national dialogue, titled 'Which Way to Unity', was organized by a non-governmental organization called Forum for Bangladesh. Led by journalist Monir Haider, the event was attended virtually by the chief advisor, Dr. Muhammad Yunus.

In addition, various advisors, representatives of 20 political parties, prominent civil society figures, and leading figures from various classes and professions participated in the event. This was the first national dialogue involving all parties active on the issue of national unity, elections, and reforms in Bangladesh.

Sources said that the interim government wants to work as a new consensus government with everyone to provide a fair election based on everyone's opinions.
