Bashundhara Shuvosangho on Monday celebrated the founding anniversary of its Ananda Mohan College unit in Mymensingh, and also announced the unit’s executive committee for the next 12 months.
College students Syed Nafiul Hasan Mubin and Puja Chakraborty Labonno were selected respectively as the president and the general secretary of the one-year committee.
At the event, college Principal Professor Md Aman Ullah praised the volunteer works of Bashundhara Shuvosangho and said the college authorities would always stand beside such initiatives.
Vice-Principal Professor Md Nurul Afsar said students should develop themselves as benevolent individuals, and to this end, have to get involved with welfare organisations like Bashundhara Shuvosangho.
Apart from the principal and the vice-principal, college teachers Md Atiqur Rahman and Md Aminul Islam, national daily Kaler Kantho’s Mymensingh Correspondent Niamul Kabir Sajal, Student Advisers Jonayed Ahmed Tanmoy and Hafiza Akter Oni, Ghasful President Abdulla-hel Kafi, and college’s Debating Club President Tanjil Ahamed were present at the event.
On behalf of Bashundhara Shuvosangho, its members Sanaul Haque Shadhin, Nazmul Haque Titu, Asha Moni as well as newly selected committee members were present.
The day started with a discussion session, followed by honourary crest distributions, cake cutting and finally a cultural programme.
