Pakistani band Kaavish, famous for their soulful songs like "Bachpan" and "Tere Pyar Mein," is all set to perform in Dhaka for the first time. The band, loved in Pakistan, India, and Bangladesh, is known for mixing semi-classical music with modern sounds.
The concert is being organized by Blue Brick Communication, the same team behind the "Dhaka Retro" event. Tarek Hossain, from Blue Brick Communication, said the performance will take place either later this year or in January 2025, reports the Daily Star.
Excitement for Kaavish's arrival increased after the band sent a video message during the "Dhaka Retro" concert on November 15. Since then, fans have been eagerly awaiting their live performance.
There was some uncertainty about whether Kaavish would perform in Dhaka, but the band's representative, Adil Awan, cleared up the confusion by confirming the news to Daily Prothom Alo.
Before their Dhaka show, Kaavish is scheduled to perform at the "Coke Studio Live" concert in Dubai on December 8, alongside renowned artistes such as Kaifi Khalil and Abdul Hannan.
Kaavish, formed in 1998 by Jaffer Zaidi and Maaz Maudood, is known for their distinctive semi-classical sound that connects with audiences of all ages.
