Bollywood actress Vidya Balan is celebrating the success of her latest outing Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 as she played her iconic character Manjulika after 17 years in the film, opens up about her fear of sharing the dance stage with Madhuri Dixit, what the success of the film means to her and how she desires to make “female-led films” mainstream, reports Indian Express.
The actress said, “Better than I could have imagined and honestly I had not imagined this. I never imagined that after 17 years I would do a Bhool Bhulaiyaa again and bring back to life Manjulika. I had not imagined that I would get so much love for it. I am very happy, I am so happy that the film is doing so well.”
The success of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 marks a triumphant comeback for Vidya Balan, who had endured a patchy run at the box office in recent years. Despite earning praise for her performances, her films released post-pandemic either bypassed theaters or struggled to leave a lasting impact. BB3’s enduring popularity is a welcome reversal of fortunes, and Vidya is clearly basking in the glory of this long-awaited triumph.
Talking about Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, she says, “The film is doing so well, I am loving it. It is my biggest to date. Can this get any better?”
