State Minister for Water Resources Farhad Hossain Azad said, “If there is even a hint of corruption, there will be no concession, if necessary, I will not hesitate to send you to jail. You cannot work with the thinking of wasting resources. Remember that this is not the Awami League government that will steal and escape, this is Tarique Rahman's government.”
He said this while inspecting the Y Bridge at Auliarghat in the Madheya area of Panchagarh on Monday and issuing a warning to the engineers and contracting companies.
After checking the quality of the rods, sand, and cement, the State Minister said, “This Bridge will not be built repeatedly, it will be built only once. So, let's think about the people of the country and return to a transparent system by eliminating wasting resources. As a local MP, I will cooperate with you if any obstacle arises in working.”
Panchagarh district executive engineer Mahmud Zaman, upazila executive officer Md. Rabiul Islam, BNP leader Real Pradhan, local people and officials and employees of the contracting company were present at the time.
