Prime Minister of Bangladesh Tarique Rahman held a farewell meeting with outgoing Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Pranay Verma on Sunday afternoon at the Prime Minister’s Office in the Cabinet Division at the Secretariat.
The farewell meeting took place as the Indian envoy prepares to conclude his diplomatic assignment in Bangladesh.
Foreign Minister Khalilur Rahman was also present during the meeting.
India has appointed Pranay Verma as its next ambassador to Belgium and the European Union after completing nearly four years of service in Bangladesh.
Verma joined the Indian Foreign Service in 1994. Before his posting in Dhaka, he served as India’s ambassador to Vietnam from July 2019.
