Dhaka South Administrator Abdus Salam has said that the problems of the South City Corporation can be solved within two years if people cooperate.
He said this at a view-sharing meeting organized at a restaurant on Elephant Road in the capital on Friday.
At the event, he inaugurated the distribution of 246 tons of bleaching powder, 150 gallons of savlon and 1 lakh 40 thousand bags in 75 wards ahead of Eid al-Adha.
He said that on the instructions of the Prime Minister, the waste of the sacrifice will be cleaned between 12 noon and 8 pm on Eid.
Abdus Salam called on the city residents to cooperate with the sanitation workers in managing the city's waste during Eid.
