Bangladesh and China signed nine agreements today, reinforcing bilateral cooperation across various sectors. The agreements include one on economic and technical cooperation and eight memorandums of understanding (MoUs) covering cultural exchanges, literary translation, media collaboration, news sharing, sports, and health initiatives.
Chief Adviser’s Deputy Press Secretary Abdul Kalam Azad Majumder confirmed the agreements and announced that formal negotiations on five investment initiatives would soon begin.
Key agreements include the establishment of the China Industrial Economic Zone and a commercial contract for the modernisation and expansion of Mongla Port. Additionally, agreements were signed for the construction of a robotic physiotherapy and rehabilitation centre and for China’s donation of a cardiac surgery vehicle to Bangladesh.
