Mia Golam Parwar, Secretary General of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and former MP, has warned that Indian hegemony is once again influencing certain political leaders. According to him, this influence is evident in their recent efforts to rehabilitate the Awami League.
He stated that after bidding farewell to 15 years of fascism and embarking on the journey of a new Bangladesh under the interim government, fresh attempts are being made to expand foreign dominance. He also alleged that conspiracies are underway to marginalise Islamic forces.
Parwar made these remarks while addressing an Iftar gathering organised by the Khulna district Jamaat-e-Islami at the banquet hall of Khulna Press Club on Sunday evening.
He emphasised that martyrs of the July movement, including Abu Saeed and Mir Mughda, have demonstrated the need to establish justice, even at the cost of their lives. However, he asserted that true justice is not possible without the laws of the Qur’an. He urged everyone to utilise the teachings of Ramadan to implement Islamic principles at every level of the state.
