Nagorik Oikya president Mahmudur Rahman Manna has expressed concern over the country's ongoing situation. He has called on the interim government to take immediate steps to resolve the crisis.
He made this call at a press conference organized by Nagorik Oikya at the Tafazzal Hossain Manik Mia Hall of the National Press Club on Saturday.
Mahmudur Rahman Manna said, "The interim government means that as long as they are in power, they are a full-fledged government. It cannot be said that they will sit quietly in such a situation. We are deeply concerned. We hope that the government will take initiatives to resolve these issues quickly."
This press conference was organized to highlight the party's statement on the 166 reform proposals of the National Consensus Commission. Manjur Quader, joint general secretary of Nagorik Oikya, presented a written statement at the press conference. Nagorik Oikya general secretary Shahidullah Kaiser, presidium members Mominul Islam, Jinnur Chowdhury Dipu, Mofakhkharul Islam Nawab, and others were also present at the event.
