National Consensus Commission Vice President Prof Dr Ali Riaz believes that it will be possible to create a national consensus in a short time through dialogue with all political parties.
He said this at a meeting between Khilafat Majlis and the National Consensus Commission at LD Hall of the National Parliament on Saturday.
Ali Riaz said, “You have agreed on many of the opinions, in many cases you have some differences of opinion, we will listen to them. We think that we can create a national consensus through dialogue. You are coming as a part of that. We have started the work in a very short time. You could not be given a long time. But we will start the discussion based on the opinions that you have sincerely expressed.”
The meeting with the Khilafat Majlis delegation began at 9:30 am. The meeting was led by Ali Riaz, Vice-Chairman of the Consensus Commission, and Ahmed Abdul Quader, Secretary General of the Khilafat Majlis.
