The ‘Warriors of July’, who were injured in the July movement, have announced a Dhaka blockade program within the next 48 hours if a decision is not made regarding the ban on Awami League (AL).
The leaders of the platform made the ultimatum during a protest programme in front of the Raju Sculpture at Dhaka University after a protest march on Saturday.
During the protest, they said that the Awami League cannot be rehabilitated until they restore their normal lives, free them from this disabled state, and bring back the lives of the martyrs.
Warning the politic parties, they said, “Be cautious or you’ll have to witness another July. If you don’t mend your ways, your fate will be the same as Awami League’s.
They also said that we have fought in the face of bullets so don’t try to intimidate us. We will not leave the streets until the victim Hasina brought to justice.
The July uprising wasn’t just for the election. It was established for freedom speech, equality and human dignity – things that Bangladesh has yet to achieve after so many years of independence.
