Mahfuz Alam, the Information Adviser to the Interim Government, stated, “Under no circumstances should the people be pitted against state institutions."
In a post on his verified Facebook account on Friday night, the advisor shared this.
Mahfuz Alam said, "We have been working for the past few months to restructure the state institutions. It has been a very complex process to restore trust and activity within all institutions."
He continued, "Without strong, accountable, and effective state institutions, we cannot move forward. The foundation of the interim government's good performance lies in the restructured state institutions.”
He added, “The government has held criminals within various institutions accountable, removing them from their positions and initiating legal proceedings. Others will be brought to justice based on ongoing investigations. Furthermore, every institution must clean up its own practices. However, under no circumstances should the public be pitted against state institutions."
The Information Adviser further stated, "Fascism from the past one and a half decades has left many obstacles. The process of reform and change must be democratic and in accordance with the law. We must aim for unity, not violence. In a stable state, we will be able to carry out reforms and justice more quickly."
