The Turkish Friendship Hospital for Cancer Patients has been completely destroyed by the Israeli military as part of its attack on the Gaza Strip, reports Al Jazeera.
The hospital, located in the Netzarim Corridor close to Salah al-Din Road, was being used as a command centre by Israeli forces during their previous military assault in central and northern Gaza.
Today it was blown up completely after having been rebuilt with a Turkish donation of $34m in 2017.
The facility used to provide cancer treatment to 10,000 patients annually.
This comes after Israel said it was expanding the Netzarim Corridor and blocked all movement on Salah al-Din Road. People wanting to travel between the north and the south of Gaza must use al-Rashid road, which is becoming more and more dangerous because of Israeli attacks.
